Hems Bhandari

Hems is a sophomore at New York University (in Abu Dhabi) majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. Apart from playing basketball, Hems likes almost anything that tickles his neurons: from disjoint-set data structure implementation, Zorn Lemma's relationship with the Axiom of Choice, to Caro-Kann defence in chess. As of now, he is following an online Machine Learning course by Anand Avati.

He has experience working with the backend side of things. Mostly deployment, cloud, and automation. On the side, he tries (his best) to blend mathematics with computer science. Also, (big surprise) he likes playing chess. He prefers not to be asked about his elo dip in recent months. Lion does not concern himself with the elo dip.
